Cravings

Good morning,
I am at work and can't open my eyes :( Kareem woke me up last night at 5am. He wanted a drink of water and a bathroom visit. I didn't go to bed after that and so I started up my day early. I loaded the washer, folded my laundry, and prayed Fajer. I miss my morning coffee :(
Just for my bad luck and ultimate torture, my colleagues brought donuts and chocolate chip cookies to the office today, can you believe it?!

I heart coffee and donuts, I really do !!

I need one of these ;)

Here are some pics for Zuzu and Kareem that I took over the weekend.

Random thoughts...

• My family and I have survived my first week at work :) I am trying to keep everything in order. I think I succeeded but a little stressed and I hate the fact that I am passing this stress to my kids. I need to re-prioritize things.
• I had a very nice weekend. Our friends came and visited with us Friday night. Saturday, went for shopping and then a BBQ at a friend’s house where Zuzu and Kareem swam and had so much fun. Sunday, cleaned around the house and then took the little ones to my friends son’s b-day party.
• My two oldest daughters stopped going with us to visit friends if there are no girls their age….awkward!!
• I need to eat healthier and start using the exercise machine that I bought since I am now spending 8+ hours setting behind a desk.
• I read these two quotes today and loved them: "Good Life starts only when you stop wanting a better One", " Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away ". Very true

Work

7/16 was my first day at my new/old job. Before leaving to Lebanon, I used to work at a community college here in northwest Arkansas. I worked as an Academic Advisor and now I am back to the same place and job with extra addition; Learning Specialist, alhamdulillah. I am happy, excited, anxious, happy, excited, anx…..

I have been here for almost a month now. I have started my job three weeks after my arrival. I still have some things around the house that I haven’t finished yet. However, I have accomplished a lot in a very short time, so I am proud of myself and my hubby who really tried his best to have the house up and running in a short time, alhamdulillah.
I also have finished registering the girls in school and they will start in 8/19, can’t wait for that :) I still need to work on finding a school for Kareem though.
Today, I finally found a cleaning lady that will help me around the house, YAY. I am so happy and thankful for that. The house is so big and needs a lot of maintenance. The girls are helping in that while I’m at work, but I am SO picky and I like every job to be perfect so I end up complaining about their work and criticizing, which I know it’s wrong and discouraging, but I just can’t ignore any piece of dust on the furniture or a foot print on the floor :(

Don’t get bored, I’ll let you go now ;)

Take care

Yesterday, today, and tomorrow

Salam
I am back, and inshallah I will be posting more regularly because I will have a regular routine since I will be working. YES, I got a job, el7amdulellah.
I moved back to the states last month. We left Lebanon on the 11th of June and went to Amman. The move was smooth and easy, El7amdulellah. My hubby stayed in Amman for a day and left the next day. He wanted to go ahead of us so he can find a place to live and buy a car. I stayed 10 days in Amman after him and it was OK. I got to meet my cousins, attended a party, and best part was that my brother Fadi and his wife came all the way from Kuwait one day before our leave to say goodbye. We got to spend some good time together.
The trip back was SO easy, el7amdulellah. I was worried that Kareem will have hard time in the plane staying in one place for 14 hours, but there was a family with a big number of kids that he made friends with them and stayed with them most of the time…LOL
We got a big house, mashallah, and bought a VW van. Things happened very easily and we had the house furnished in no time, el7amdulellah. I have to keep thanking because I have been blessed from Allah SWT with too many things.
I will start my new job on Friday, YAY. I am so excited that my life is going back to normal. You know, I have been working all my life and those past two years that I stayed in Lebanon are the only time off that I had since I graduated from college. So now I am back into the employees’ world and I know I function a lot better when I am in it.
That’s a summary of my past days. Inshallah, I will be posting more often now :)

Bye for now
