I've learned..hope you do too!!
I've learned - that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.
I've learned - that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.
I've learned -that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
I've learned - that it's not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts.
I've learned - that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you'd better know something.
I've learned - that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do.
I've learned - that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
I've learned - that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
I've learned - that you can keep going long after you can't.
I've learned - that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I've learned - that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I've learned - that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
I've learned - that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many years you've celebrated.
I've learned - that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I've learned - that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I've learned - that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other and just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.
I've learned - that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
I've learned - that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
I've learned - that the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

Before and After
Since my husband is away, I had to fix many things around the house. I am a handy person, I will fix small thing. But I never thought that I will be Nilly the handy man ;) I fixed our house mail box by replacing the lock and installing a new one. I also repaired Kareem's bike wheel. I retrieved two dead birds from my dryer. Notice that all these project require assemble and dissemble but il 7amdellah, I did it :D
Last week one of my colleagues wanted to sell two chairs, Louise style. The chairs were very pretty, and in excellent condition. The only problem was that the upholstery doesn’t match my furniture. I ended up buying the chairs, and guess what I did!! I changed the fabric all by myself. So now with all the things that I learned to do, I can also change upholstery. Anyone needs a handy woman!! :)
I have two quotes relevant to this:
The best man for the job is a woman.
Women can do anything men can and while they are wearing heels.
I will leave you with the pictures.

The author is a friend of mine. She used to be my next door neighbor before we left to Lebanon. She left to her country- SA - while I was away, they were students.
I didn't know that my friend was a writer until after she went back to her country and we became FB friends.
She wrote this article yesterday. I found very relevant to me. Here you go, I hope you like it...

I hate that ...
When people delete you off of their facebook friends list and make their blog private by invitation only, what is it a country club or something!! If you have issues in your life you don't have to take it on me.
What do you think guys!!

My days...
• Since the last 10 days of Ramadan have started yesterday, I started joining my husband in going to do Tahajjod and Qyam Ellayel at the Masjid. I am SO thankful to Allah S.W.T for giving me the chance to do it. It feels so great and I am actually not as tired as I thought I might be.
• My work is going great. I love it with all my heart; it makes my life look, feel, taste, and move SO different.
• I miss my mom deeply.
• I miss Lebanon.
• I feel that I am doing a very bad job with cooking this year and I don’t know why. Even though I have the same preparation and menu items that I used to have in the past such as: soup, fatoosh, appetizer, and main dish. I still feel that there is something missing :(
• People around the office are still torturing me by bringing all types of delicious food :(
• I am back on track in reading y’all blogs. It makes me feel like I am looking at life through a new window.
• Now for the picture of the day :)

Me, Mother's Day, and Spring
I know I am a bad blogger :( All of you my cyber friends have a wonderful way with words and that made me realize that I don’t know how to express myself in words, I am a chit-chat person. I LOVE TO TALK :)
Anyway, that past few days was kinda busy. I will follow the tag that my friend Texan started and let you all know a little about me so you know why I don’t post very often.
Although I am a stay-at-home mom, I have 3 young ladies; 16, 13, 7, and 3 years old hyper, unclean, talkative boy. Everything I do with the girls, their dad, and the house is in one hand and Kareem by himself is on the other hand….lol
I moved to Lebanon in November of 2008. I am originally from Jordan. I lived in Fayetteville, AR for almost 11 years and went to grad school over there with my hubby where he got his phd in physics and I got mine in education. It is so hard to work in Lebanon and that’s how I became a stay-at-home mom/wife. It’s been a nice experience but not for me. I LOVE to work and my life is more organized and functional when I have a job. I think after being in grad school teaching in the morning and going to classes at night for 6 years, I discovered that I work a lot better under stress because I am one of those people who you call procrastinator.
Yesterday was mother’s day, Happy Mother’s Day to all of you my readers. I called my mom first thing in the morning and sang her the song that she likes to hear and expresses what I always wants to tell her. I love my mom :)

Zayna, my 7 years old daughter arranged with her daddy for a surprise party, so while I was napping in the afternoon they went and got donuts because she’s allergic to eggs and can’t eat cake, so she picked something she can eat ;) then she came and work me up, covered my eyes and..Voila. It was SO cute and I was still sleepy so I didn’t think of taking pictures until we started eating those delicious donuts :)
My little ones brought me gifts that they prepared at school, arent's they cute!!
Spring has officially started, I wish you all my friends out there a happy life full of green moments of happiness, blooms of love and prosperous, and the great smell and taste of Iman in your hearts, Ameen.
Love
